Picture This

I was walking past groceries on the floor and sort of did not give myself enough room. Picture loopy airplane wing arms that morph into helicopter rotor and then back to airplane wings arms. All this time, food must be balanced.

My body was moving in a swaying Jeannie-like motion. But, it was not so alluring or cute. I had no bottle into which to escape.

This all went on way too long. I thought both of Tommy's TVs were toast. Remember, he has the little one sitting in front of the large one. If I crash into the front one, the back one will go down like a domino. Finally, I regained my equilibrium and did not spill the food I was carrying. Tommy said he thought, "Oh no. Where is she going to fall, and how are we going to get her up?" I say to call 911.

Since I slept 2 hours last night, I was woozy from needing sleep. It has nothing to do with ears or equilibrium.

Today was a very good day! Tomorrow I will relate the good things of today.

Wish me to sleep.

  2. I can't imagine having your sleep, or lack of sleep patterns. I'm sorry as it sure seems to impact your life so much.

    1. Sam,
It is horrendous! I have been awake since 2:30 am, having slept only 2 hours. Thank you.

  3. Could someone help you get the groceries off the floor and clear a better space to walk? A fall at "our" age can be a life altering event, and not for the better.

    1. Connie,
There was not much there and I had Tommy put things there for me to label. I have fallen so many times and never broken a thing, even hit my head a couple of times. I never break anything, just rip tendons and muscles. Those things don't heal well...lol.

  4. That was quite a feat not to spill the dinners wasn't it! But I agree with Sam, it must be so hard on you to have that sleep disruption!

    1. Treaders,
I was glad, so glad, not to fall and make a mess and hurt myself. It is very difficult.

  5. Glad you didn't have a bad fall. I would be a walking zombie if I didn't get good sleep.

    1. One,
I AM a walking zombie most of the time! I have no brain most of the time.

  6. I love the way you describe the looping and swaying. I have fallen that way that it feels like slow motion and I thought it would feel slow but look fast but they tell me it looks slow! It's an awful feeling, scrabbling to right yourself but not making it (well you did make it so well done!)

    1. kylie,
I just asked Tommy, he said it looked slow. Scary either way. I was going to fall on a bunch of stuff. That would have broke my fall but probably be very uncomfortable.
