We Interrupt This Program for a Special Announcement!

Okay, I found the Miracle Whip by accident.

I was looking in the cabinet on the left side of the sink, looking for something else I misplaced. As I looked where the little two shelf storage unit for spices is kept, I looked on the shelf above where quart jars of flour, sugar, etc. are kept. My eyes went upward to the third shelf and there was the MW, sitting there, mocking me!

The other thing I misplaced was the little pink bin where I previously kept spices. I remember it being in front of the microwave in Tommy's way as I was rearranging that shelf and putting in the double-decker spice holder. I told him to just put it anywhere. It was near the table with a box of cleaning supplies on top!

And, after I took the Miracle Whip to the kitchen, I placed it on the counter beside the sink where I was going to make a sandwich. I was not sure if there was enough MW in the jar or if I would need the new jar. Well, there was enough to put back in the refrigerator for another use. So, I picked up the MW and put it right above where it sat, in the top shelf instead of where I would store it.

See, I remembered how both "lost" items were...lol. Well, I do remember how they got where I found them. Got to save face here.

Some were concerned the MW had been out of the refrigerator too long. But, this jar had never been opened. I am glad I found it because I paid over $6 for it. That is outrageous. I was dreading buying another. However, MW is a food group. I like it thick and sloppy on my sandwich, but I need to put it on in a civilized smear like I was reared to do.

I slept two hours last night and the cleaner came this morning. She emptied the closet in the bedroom and cleaned it and fumigated it. She started filling it back up as I directed from bed. When I asked Tommy what to do with some things, he said to throw them away. Well, they will be sold instead. He has a Polaroid camera and a nice case that are over 40 years old. Plus, he has various colognes, gifts he has never used. I am glad he hates cologne.

It is now time for a nappy poo.

When you misplace an item, do you remember the circumstances of where you put it once you have found a "lost" thing?

Gutted, Angry, Shaking, Sad

Okay, maybe I am being overly dramatic. I don't care! I am having a spell with asthma and feel rotten. Now, I can barely move.

We had gone to get my inhalers at Walgreen's and sat there forever. But, on the way home I remembered Monday was the day to get the pink bag with ads and coupons. So, we did that back in the neighborhood. I slid out of the car and took two steps to the bag, picked it up and turned and got in the car.

About thirty minutes later at home I decided to make a phone call. I did a cursory search of my body and the chair in which I was sitting.

NO PHONE!

Tommy went to the car and checked by my seat and under it. No phone. I was in a panic since I told him I knew it fell out of my pocket when I got out of the car to get the bag.

We went straight to Verizon. The guy was so nice and told me the phone was off anyway because I had not paid my bill. No, I was using it. So, who knows. We discussed what was happening, could happen, and the fact it could not be traced, that I would need a new phone.

My heart was racing with irregular heartbeats. I was gutted, angry, shaking inside, and sad. I could not even sit up straight. Tommy pulled out his wallet and told me to use his credit card. Since he was on the phone trying to figure out why his Tracfone did not work, he just let me do it.

I have the identical phone minus my contacts. Loss of contacts is a big deal!

My asthma is worse now. My heart is still not beating correctly. I still feel gutted.

Remember the camera that slipped out of my pocket? Same pants! I have had cell phones since 2003 and have never lost one. Since I have had the AT&T Rugby flip phone, I have never broken a phone. The only other flip phone I "broke," just lost part of its functions. But, I did not replace it until it was obsolete. I have owned cameras since I was ten-years-old and have never lost or broken a camera. The only camera and the only phone I have lost were in the pocket of these pants!

I have a gray pair and a black pair, identical design. I could add onto and lengthen the pockets, but the design won't allow that. The pockets are sewn down. I never noticed this when I bought them and Tommy says it does not show when I wear them. I like pockets inserted in the side seam. This pair has slant pocket openings.

This is a great financial blow since I will repay Tommy. It affects my confidence and sense of safety. Thankfully, I had food cooked so we could eat without any effort on my part. He heated the taco soup and zucchini.

Tomorrow or maybe tonight, I will call the police. I don't know why. Plus, I will put up a "lost phone" sign on the telephone pole nearest to where I lost the phone, plus other poles. And, I will offer a reward.

Have you even been so upset with a loss and how it happened?

Hard Saturday, Lazy Catch Up Day

Saturday was hard because I was exhausted. So, I just did nothing, as little as I could. I have lost the little bag where I keep my diabetes injection. I had it in the car on Thursday and gave myself an injection. Friday, it was nowhere to be seen. I got out the next pen from the refrigerator, used it, returned it. I spent much time after we came back Friday from shopping looking for it.

Tommy searched the car in the dark with a cheap, dying flashlight. I searched again this morning to no avail. Tommy searched last night the table in the kitchen where I have things. Nothing. It is so dark in there, anything could be there. So, I suppose I will start the round again, looking and looking.

When I went outside, the weather was beautiful and  60F degrees. It was so pleasant that I came back in, grabbed a screwdriver. Several days ago, I looked in the bottom of the concrete planter, looking for a hole. There was a plugged up hole. So, by using the screwdriver, I managed to get most of the dirt out that was clogging it up. The reason I could not see the hole was that there was a layer of sand sort of stuck the very bottom of the pot.

The concrete pot weighs more than 30 pounds. I certainly thought I was getting some sort of Styrofoam! Tommy said he had trouble even tipping it and sort of letting it fall out of his Rogue which thankfully does not have a tailgate. He did not have to lift. Then, he had to lift from his walker seat and barely got it onto the porch. I suppose I will take water out to loosen the rest of the plug and then use a coffee filter to keep dirt from the hole.

I got up late and now it is late for lunch. Tonight, I won't mind eating at 7:30!

The "plate" I bought for $1 is a quiche dish. I finally got it clean enough to realize what is was and read the fact it was oven-safe.

The pink plastic bag in the yard held all the newspaper ads plus three newspaper inserts when had lots of good coupons. They must have skipped throwing them the week it rained buckets.

When I got up from the sofa, I became very dizzy and ill. After lying in bed for an hour, I got up to make dinner--rest of the roll of sausage, last of sweet potatoes baked several days ago, and slider buns for the sausage, later strawberries. Tommy said it was enough, thankfully.

Saturday was a lazy, catch-up day.

Who Knows Where I Lost It?

I took $200 out of the bank to pay the one bill I pay in cash, buy gas and have money in my pocket. Because my back hurt so, I only pumped $10 worth of gas. I think I spent $5 at the grocery and that was the last I saw of that money. I figured I am out $180, lost somewhere.

That was last Friday. I am devastated. Add in the fact that I cannot find my bank card, and I have also been without any money all weekend. I am quite sure I will find the card where it has slipped under the seat or someone where in the house.

Tommy was horrified, too. I did not tell him about the lost money. I have checked and rechecked purses, pants and the front seat. Probably, it was thrown out with trash from the car. I doubt it fell out of my pocket.

The card will show up now that I have ordered a new one. I will have to renew all my autopay items. I just wonder how many will bounce and what problems it will cause. ugh!

Do not bother to chide me or question my judgment or actions! I have managed to drown my sorrows in chocolate cereal and milk...several times each day.

The gas station where I buy gas at lowest price in town had/has low running gas pumps. That is why I only got $10 in gas. I had to go inside because I had no card last Friday. Then, I had to go back out. The gas would not pump fast enough for me to be able to stand. So, after $0.98, I got back in the car and drove to honk at the door and get my money back. I spent $2.45/gal. on gas after leaving a pump with $2.21 price.

Thee next day, I tried the same place again. No luck. So, I bought $10 in gas at a different station where I had to walk in to pay. I feel like I have spent the last four days in gas pursuit.

I managed to find enough coins and stray bills to buy a pint of ice cream and two bananas.

While I was hanging onto the counter, I saw packages of CBD. There was seven doses for $7.99. The label had a list of uses--sleep, pain, anxiety, among other things. I did not see how often CBD was to be consumed. Passing on that.

Have you ever lost so much money?

Tommy died

I am distraught! He died at 12:15 am on 3-14.
