New Low Weight

Not one child came to our door. Of course, we turned off skeleton and porch light. Several of the children on this street go to church functions. We ended up eating all the candy we bought "just in case." It was time for a nap, anyway.

This is the time of year I can lose weight easily. I finished all the candy and am at a new low weight. Since I want sweets, I quit eating other things. At any rate, I lose weight.

I purchased a new microwave and new clock radio for Tommy. I thought he needed one! He thought I bought it for me. He is going to use it for one feature he likes. I have no idea why I thought he needed one. I think I have had the microwave for about twelve years. I had it at my house and we used it for a few years.

Just now, I told Tommy I wanted him to bring in my skeleton tomorrow. 'Skeleton?" he says!

Onward to Thanksgiving!

  1. We had a surprising number--at least 40 this year. And at least 1/2 of those were in the first 10 minutes (ToT "unofficially" starts here at 6pm)! DH panicked and ran to the store for more candy, thinking we were going to be overrun. But then it died down and we just had stragglers until 8pm. It was very windy, which made it feel colder, so I'm not surprised the night was over early (we turn off our porch lights at 9pm). It was fun seeing the little ones in costume, as always.

We unplugged our 5 fake pumpkins and put everything away promptly this morning. I love Halloween, but I want it GONE on November 1st. DS took the leftover candy into work. Better there than here!

I don't even want to think about Thanksgiving just yet!
Last year I ordered a full meal from a local store. It was meh. So I think I'm back to cooking again. Sigh.

    1. Sue,
Ah, false start. At least, you got rid of excess candy rather than consume it.
I Halloween out of here, too. My skeleton was not installed correctly. I want to get the water out of the head and batteries out.
Last year, i wished I had ordered, but have relented. I want my food to my taste. However, I will have to start cooking next week and continue to cook right up to Thanksgiving Day.

  2. What a disappointment to prepare for halloween and no ones shows. I would be quite sorrowful.

    1. I decorate for me and passersby. I would be shocked if a Trick or Treater came by. We do not prepare for those.
