Tommy and I both got up to go to the bathroom at the same time--6:45. He asked if I wanted to cancel Pepper Place. So, I finally went to sleep and slept until 1:30. I have been lethargic, sleepy since then.
We got an Arby sandwich and sat in the park while we ate. After that, we drove around two neighborhoods to see decorations. I know, boring. The weather was perfect, 74F, not much breeze, brilliant sunshine.
Best part of the day was when I had three scrambled eggs for dinner, two sausage patties, and milk. Salad was later. Blueberries, green grapes, yogurt were later.
It was a low-key day. I told Tommy not to allow me to sleep in my chair, to wake me. He harassed me to keep me from sleeping. If I napped so late, I knew I would not sleep tonight.
Oops, I forgot that I decluttered just a bit. A bit each day will soon be a big decluttering.
My laptop now tries to carry on a conversation with me. I told CoPilot to go away, finally to shut up. That experience unnerved me. Does AI try to verbally interact with you?
The weather was beutiful here yesterday too. Those sandwiches from Arbys look so good on their commericals. Breakfast for dinner is a favorite of mine too. And yes, AI tries to take over when I am writing a blog post, which I do not need help with. LOL
ReplyDeleteBelinda,
DeleteI like the cheese but not the red sauce. My sandwich had all the cheese on one side and running all over the outside. This particular breakfast is my favorite and controls my blood sugar. AI suggests I go on the internet and google for subjects to write. lol
Low-key days can be so nice. Going for a drive is really nice, too. I like DH to drive so I can enjoy the view.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoy breakfast for dinner. Breakfast tastes wonderful any time of the day. I wonder why that is?
I've been steady on my decluttering, just like you, Linda! I took some kitchen gear (glassware, never-used Tupperware) to a local thrift store.
I also took three full banker's boxes of old bills to the local shredding business. I had a Groupon coupon so it only cost $17.50 to shred up to 10 of those boxes. It's SO nice having all that old paperwork out of our basement and out of our lives! Now I just have to sort/file the important papers left over--a much smaller and easier task.
Hope you have a nice weekend, Linda and Tommy!
Sue,
DeleteLowkey was wonderful! It was a lowkey drive, too, just in two neighborhoods, no highway or town driving. Oh, I am on high alert when he is driving. So, that is a little stressful.
I hate a sugary breakfast. I prefer eggs and I love eggs.
My decluttering is on a smaller scale than yours, unfortunately. I wish I were decluttering on your scale. Good for you. I have too much paper here, too. I need my file cabinet!
Thanks, Sue, it has been a good weekend so far. I hope your weekend is pleasant, too.
I used to love Arby’s until I followed their political donations. They won’t ever see another dime from me.
ReplyDeleteI have a dishwasher which tries to interact with me. It beeps after it runs its cycle. The beeping is increasingly shorter intervals until it beeps incessantly for about 30 seconds and then stops. Then, it beeps alarmingly when the door is opened , I think to alert the user that the dishes are clean. If you know anything about me you know I despise unloading the dishwasher , so what I do when it finishes is open the dishwasher, turn it off, shut it again, and hope somebody else realizes it needs unloading before I do it. I don’t know why, but machines verbally interacting with me makes my blood boil. I almost become enraged when I have to go through automated voice menus over the phone. I can’t imagine my reaction my laptop tried to verbally interacting with me. I would have to suppress the urge to smash it.
I had a dryer 50 years ago that beeped when the clothes were dry. Then, it beeped every few minutes to reinforce the first message. When I wanted to get clothes out to hang, I loved it. Otherwise, it annoyed me.
DeleteCalling in a refill at the pharmacy requires me to endlessly answer prompts. I have Tommy do it because it makes me crazy and furious. The self-checkouts are annoying, too. I don't like machines talking to me and ordering me around.
I do not converse with AI or Siri or anything of that ilk.
ReplyDeleteUrspo,
DeleteI certainly did not initiate that exchange. After being rebuffed, maybe that will be the last time.
