Christmas Morning Snow

No, not this year! This was Christmas 2010. It is so rare to have snow on Christmas. This is during the snow and this picture was taken out my open kitchen window. The window is high, so I am looking down on it. See the blue umbrella on the table? Just to the left of the umbrella is my swing that I absolutely loved.

My chickens were not fans of snow!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

  1. We have white on the ground this year - not a lot, but white non the less.
    Stay safe and warm.
    Merry Christmas to you both

  2. What a cool picture. The blue umbrella and dark green leaves almost looks like painting in on a black and white photo.

    1. SAM,
That is how warm it had been--still green leaves on the tree. It does look like painting on a black and white photo. I had not thought of that.

  7. A very Merry 12 Days of Christmas to you and Tommy, Linda! We try to remember that Christmas doesn't end on Dec 26 and to stretch out our celebrating.

We had our usual relaxed Christmas celebration. We don't get out of pajamas until after brunch. I made prime rib for dinner. It was perfection, or so DH and DD told me. As a born and bred Midwesterner, I do not tolerate pink meat! DS and I both agree that next year will be brisket burnt ends. I just don't understand how prime rib is so revered...

The evening ended on a poor note for me with an upset stomach. Today we are invited to DD's fiance's parent's house for dinner and the fam will not let me wriggle out of my duty. I will eat lightly and stick to sips of Coke. Ho Ho Ho!

    1. Sue,
I am all for lots of days of celebrating. And, I am all for staying in pajamas most of the day...lol.
Too bad you had an upset stomach. I was born and bred in the South, and I do not tolerate pink meat, either. I bet it was delicious. I really don't think I would want to eat at all. To meat his parents for the first time and then get sick? Oh my.
