Nothing Happening Sunday

This is just a warm summer Sunday--hot, still, quiet. The only thing I have done is sleep late, hang up some of the wet clothes I need to hang inside.

The guy next door is mowing our lawn, so I ran outside and moved the table and chair onto the sidewalk to help a bit. The last time, he moved it where it is still sitting on the grass, but I could not get into the car. That leaves him a chair and table to move in the backyard so he can mow.

He is the father of the graduate to whom we gave the gift bag. The poor kid stepped into a hole one of the three dogs dug in the backyard, so I am not sure how she works her Dollar General job. Her knee is wrapped.

For dinner we are having the last of the leftover carrots and potatoes I baked along with a piece of the chicken baked at another time. I may have a navel orange afterwards.

Maybe I will have some Kozy Shack tapioca pudding. Sluggy and people on her blog were talking about it, and I am weak. Maybe I should have gotten the rice pudding. I searched for it in the refrigerator since Tommy took my milk and Kozy Shack to the kitchen. I wanted the KS to sit in the refrigerator for a while and get good and cold.

Over an hour later I found Kozy Shack on the counter because he didn't think I wanted it in the refrigerator. grrr I wish there had been chocolate. I am not crazy about it, but I would buy chocolate at least once.

I hear the guy coming back with the weedeater or leaving the backyard, not sure which.

My thumb is doing fine. See, I told you nothing is happening here.

What was/is happening at your house today?

  1. Regular Monday routine for me , laundry to wash and put on the clothes line, frigs to clean out, prep food for this coming week, trash to go to road, check gardens to see if they need watered, weed forever and harvest herbs to put in dehydrator. Find some pots to put some odds and ends in including lettuce, Swiss chard and radishes . Hubby is moving trailers around so he can finish running the trimmer. He usually has a haul job Monday mornings but the Amish guy moved it back to 3:30 this afternoon due to a wedding on last Saturday so they didn't work any on it Saturday.

    1. Chef,
it is noon and I am just getting up due to no sleep before 8am. I need to plant the last of my few plants, too. You stay busy always!

  2. Is it an accident that your post contains a whole lot of white space between the words and the bottom, or did you include it as an artistic expression, a concrete example, of the nothing that was happening on Sunday? My vote goes to you left your finger sitting on the ENTER key a little too long. (Lol)

Myson had texted me on Friday night that he could come over Sunday afternoon and get our guest toilet fixed properly (every time I need to replace the flush valve seal I manage to put it in incorrectly), so we waited and waited and waited some more but he never came. That's how our Sunday went. I may try to give it another go today myself (pun not intended).

    1. rhymes,
I do not know what I do and cannot ever figure out how to fix it. Sorry. I hate putting in a flush valve. I used to do it all the time. Waiting kills me, even if I have nothing else to do.
