Redbud trees are in abundance and blooming now.
While the cleaner was here, imagine my surprise when I found a Cherry Dum Dum. Since there was only one, I put it aside on my bedside table for later. Well, later came this afternoon. That was such a treat! Since I felt awful, it made me happy. Of course, what I want is ice cream.
After discussing with the doctor what antibiotic he would prescribe me yesterday as he stood by the car, I was so disappointed not to have him call anything in for me. When I awoke at 11:30 Tuesday morning, I felt twice as bad as the day before. Tommy called Walgreen's. They had gotten the prescription and would have it ready in 20 minutes.
We got it and I took it in the car on another small errand. I have never had such indescribable pain in my stomach from medicine in my life. I grabbed a plastic bag and held it under my chin for about an hour. And, I have to take this three times each day. I will try it one more time before I call for something else. The medication was to be taken with food. Since I had just stepped away from lunch, I think I was taking it with food.
Tonight, we were glad to have leftovers of chicken, potato. Tommy had slaw and I had green beans. We both eat only one small piece of potato.
Before I took a nap, I cancelled my oncologist appointment on Wednesday. There was no way I could make it.
Tommy took all my plants from the utility room. He watered them, too. When I awoke, it was too late to see them. I prepared some weak Miracle-Gro for the Romaine. Someday, I will get around to sowing seeds.
That was today, folks. Tommy is back to catering to me 100%.
Are there redbuds where you live, in your yard, or the area where you live?
Does a med ever hurt your stomach?
Are you easily thrilled by finding a bit of candy or a treat of which you were unaware?
There is a big redbud across the street from me - not blooming yet. I used to have on in the back yard until it died of old age!
ReplyDeleteIt almost sounds like you have an ulcer or something else going on with your stomach. I am so sorry you having such a horrible time. I hope you get it figured out soon.
Cheryl,
DeleteI hate it when trees die. It probably could have been saved. My dogwood took five years to die. Only too late did I realize it and then it was too late.
I doubt it is an ulcer since this med is known to cause stomach pain and other bad side effects. And few other meds bother my stomach and none this bad.
Those trees are beautiful. We do not have them here. Some antibiotics really bother my stomach.
ReplyDeleteKim,
DeleteI have not looked to see the redbud range. Then, you know the agony of medicines. I have had injections of this med before and had no problems.
Hi, been away, sick and computer problems. Glad you are doing well, and hope this new medication helps. I had to go out today for a doctor's appointment, the one that is the far away from home. I went past a string of redbuds, they are quite small but there must have been 20 lining the street. Beautiful, they will make quite a show when they are bigger. I also love the Bradford pear but did not see any in bloom today.
ReplyDeleteThere is never a candy or treat hiding here, I know where they all are. LOL I am not having any stomach problems with my new medicine. There is one, that can make me dizzy if I do not eat enough before I take it. I have had a couple of falls from that. Now I know to make sure to eat enough before I take it. Follow up with the doc went well.
You and Tommy have a great Thursday, eat something before the medicine, it will help.
Texas,
DeleteSorry you have been ill. I am starting on the third new laptop! That many redbuds would make me happy.
This little dum dum was in a bunch of stuff, hidden, obviously accidentally dropped there. Otherwise, I am like you--know all the hiding places.
I had eaten something before I ate dinner, had dinner and still was in pain. I have had this med before and forgot how ill it makes me. I am glad your dr visit went well.
This is a different med I have today and will follow the directions.
Thanks. Have a great Thursday, too.
That redbud is just glorious, that's something to enjoy :)
ReplyDeleteAntibiotics can be tough on tummies. I'm not sure I knew you had an oncologist. is cancer an old diagnosis or a new one?
We all love redbuds in the South.
DeleteThis antibiotic was pretty rough on my system. The oncologist was from an old diagnosis that I am afraid may have returned.
The fear of it returning is always there, isn't it? I hope you're clear
Deletekylie,
DeleteI was clear. Hopefully, it has not returned.
I enjoy a found sweet; I enjoy more a found bag of pretzels.
ReplyDeleteUrspo,
DeleteA surprise treat of any kind is great, depending on what a person likes.
I often have problems with oral meds. My stomach just can't handle them.
ReplyDeleteI love finding a forgotten package of cookies in the cabinet. What a treat.

Sean,
ReplyDeleteMeds are definitely a problem for my stomach! It is a trial.
A whole package of cookies would be a great treat. I often am thrilled at one cookie...lol.
