The Way I Feel Almost Every Day

  1. Ha ha, that's why Christmas is so great. You always know what you'll be cooking!

  2. Yup. I know the feeling. Every day cook, eat, cleanup, and then plan for the next day to start all over

    1. Ann,
I think the planning is the hardest part. Of course, the older I get, the worse cleaning up becomes.

  3. My husband asks me what’s for lunch (our big meal) every when we’re sitting there in the morning drinking coffee. I got smart one morning and said, “I don’t know, you tell me!” He thought for a minute and said, “well, I really can’t think of anything!” Haha
    I said that’s how I feel!

  4. So funny! I've been cooking for myself since my last daughter left for college 15 years ago and before that cooked for the family. You don't have to be fancy- some things can just be heated up. I roasted a whole chicken this AM and will be eating it all week- I have greens and cottage cheese if I want a simple side. I am still craving a lemon cream pie but told my sister, I wasn't going to make it LOL. She lives alone but doesn't cook like I do- a bowl of cereal or popcorn is fine for her. I'm more of a foodie.

    1. Nan,
Well, as you see by what I cook, it is never complicated. He is just not hungry when I want to put leftovers on the table. Or, I just want a bit and he wants leftovers that are a full meal. I willnever go popcorn or cereal. Not for me.

    1. Rhonda,
      Can you believe it?

Tommy has his own routine of cereal and milk every morning and often eats it before I am up. However, I am sure he would settle in nicely if I were to start cooking breakfast for him. However, I don't care for breakfast foods at breakfast except for scrambled eggs. All the toast and jelly, bacon and fried potatoes, pancakes and syrup are more like dinner meals for me. He hates fruits and vegetables for breakfast. I will eat fruits and beans or leftovers of any kind. I just settle for milk and banana for my first breakfast and in an hour my stomach can handle something else.I love chicken breast in the morning!

  6. Every evening before I go to sleep I figure out what we will eat for supper the next day. I eat breakfast, usually cold or hot cereal with milk, or some toast and a little butter with milk to drink. I get so tired of eating my own cooking. I can't wait until we manage to get our vaccinations so I can hug my kids and grand kids, hold my new grand baby, and eat carry out restaurant food. I have had only my own cooking since last March, and I need a change soon. I used to write out my weekly supper menus, I need to start doing that again.

Where I live they have a lot of those massive gatherings for vaccinations. They are often at college campuses where one has to do a lot of walking on long winding sidewalks from the parking garages to the areas where vaccinations are being given. I am not physically able to do that now. We haven't been able to get through to make arrangements at Walmart, CVS, or Medicine Shoppe. Hopefully we will be able to soon.

    1. Tommy is amenable to getting food from a restaurant about once a week, so not eating in a restaurant has been okay, sort of. I understand. I am looking for a drive-thru. Right now, we have appointments in a hospital where we do have to go in. It is still up in the air as to whether we have an appointment even though I scheduled it for a specific time and day.
