Sleep, Weight, Doves

I am not sure whether I go to sleep easily lately or I am just passing out. Sometimes, it tales me less than 30 seconds to sleep. However, I sleep long and well, and awake feeling like I have not slept in days.

When I went to the doctor on Tuesday, I had lost another five pounds in about a week or two. Now, that bothers me. I have fears of what it could be. I don't think I am eating so much less. And, I do remember I am weighing on different scales each time. Scales are on my wish list now. Maybe in December.

A little before dusk today, we left to pick up a few specials. There were four doves sitting on Tommy's fence. I wonder where they sleep. For twenty years, I had a pair of doves that sat on my scuppernong arbor that was 9'x18'. They would sit in the yard with wings outspread. I also miss the cardinals that I could see right outside my picture window.

I have never heard doves here, so I wonder where they live and coo.

Even with all the sleep I get, I have no energy after eating. I am going to get a new gastroenterologist and have the colonoscopy I am past due having done. When I went to the urologist this past Tuesday, he assured me I had no bladder problems or kidney disease. So, he did not know why my foot and leg were swelling.

Tonight, I am going to make the blueberry muffins I promised Tommy and myself. I now have the ingredients for Jello salad and green bean casserole. I will get it done!

  1. Hope your weight loss isn't caused by something serious. I had my colonoscopy in August and was sure glad when it was over. Prep isn't so bad anymore. It used to be gallons and gallons of liquid and getting it down was a major problem for me.

    1. I think it was called Suprep. I had to eat only what they allowed (no red stuff, seeds etc) for a few days and the night before I drank the laxative and some water and then the next morning did a repeat of that. it was SOOO much easier than the old prep. Still not fun but at least doable. On a different subject I wanted to comment on your UTI's. I had back to back UTI's for a number of years and no matter what I did they would come back almost right away. Someone suggested taking 500mg vitamin C tablet right before bed (I took 1000mg) ...makes urine acidic overnight or something I guess. I have been doing that and since then have not even had one UTI. It has been over 2 years since I have been doing that. Told a friend about this who also had many UTI's and hers stopped too. I tried cranberries juice and pills but that didn't do a thing but the Vit. C did the trick.

    2. Ann,
I think I either have that sitting here to use or it is what I had last time. What I had last time, came right back up. I do follow what they say to eat. I hate all the prep instructions.

  2. Linda don't forget to include ALL your symptoms (dizzy, losing balance). Make sure they check for amyloidosis, just incase that runs in your family.
