I just cannot bear to type a post. I will tomorrow. But, in the meantime, I need to know something about buying Legos. I asked Tommy if he had ever had Legos. No, he has not. I said I thought that would be something he would enjoy. He did not say anything, sort of a good sign. He did not yell or refute what I said.
So, where do I start? Are there different kinds? Best places to buy. I know they are abundant in Thrift stores. But, now might be a bad time to find them. I am going to look. I love thrift store toys because they are so cheap. As for new ones or old ones, give me some tips, please.

NOT my pattern! Do you remember the popular doctor shirts? Were they Ben Casey or Dr. Kildare shirts? I want to say they were Dr. Kildar...
They are expensive when new but then you get complete sets with instructions. I found a box full of assorted legos at a rummage sale once for a very good price. I washed them before giving them to the kids and laid them on towels to dry. A box like that (assorted) is good for free building and not just a one time set to build.
ReplyDeleteAnn,
DeleteExpensive is not what I need..lol. I suppose I will take a look in the stores to see what I will be looking for. then, I can look in thrift stores. My kids never had them.
I know several adults that have legos and still play with them. You can buy kits(they are expensive) that make certain things when put together or buy larger ones that I usually buy for toddlers (and noticed my son played with them more than the kids did). Money wise I always shopped the thrift stores.
ReplyDeleteI want the regular ones, but if I find toddler ones, I will get those. I suppose I can hide them in my bedroom after I was them. He never comes in there at all.
DeleteHi, PP!! i have bought many legos for my son. one can purchase a small lego table; they are best for an ongoing lego project, as most are. check ebay, you may be able to buy, new lego starter/themed kits( which most lego enthusiasts will agree is best to start off with), and the table at a great price, delivered. as he decides that he loves it,(some people really get hooked!), used are fine. happy holidays, marianne :>)
ReplyDeleteMarianne,
ReplyDeleteThe table would not work for him as he will have to use it in his recliner. I was planning on letting him use my huge rectangular pan for the oven. I wonder if there are Dr. Who kits. I'll have to look. Merry Christmas.
Walmart has a 900 piece Classic LEGO Set on rollback for $20. I believe it is usually $40. I got one on Black Friday but noticed they still had the special last time I looked.
ReplyDeleteAngie,
DeleteThanks.
