No Shirt, No Shoes, No Service

I just erased the whole post. Can Blogger fix that little problem like it fixed the problem with accidentally posting? @#$%&

Why is it so difficult to add a mask to this list? Exactly which Constitutional right are we abridging  with the wearing of a mask?  (rhetorical) Women are not allowed to go without coverings above the waist. And, I am okay with this for my part. However, somewhere deep inside of me, I have always thought this was patently unfair.

Tommy mentioned the signs that are the title of this post. And, I have been thinking about it.

  1. The no maskers are the summation of the selfishness that the world now atributes to Americans. To demy the science is stupidity, so it has to come down to selfishness.

  2. We’ve been wearing masks for months and I just sewed 3 more today.
I understand freedom but we have lots of things we do for safety that are outside of freedom.

    1. Rhonda,
I stop at red lights for the safety of others and my own safety. I do not consider this an intrusion on my right to be free from oppression.

      Thanks.

Yes, it is the right thing to do. I will wear a mask for the next year.

  4. In our state, as an individual, there is no mandate whatsoever for you to wear a mask. Businesses and health care facilities, however, can be fined very heftily if they refuse to require masks for entry. Sort of like smoking bans in establishments.
Our state was very proactive in its Covid 19 protocol, and as a result, we have had very low numbers relative to our population. Some counties have been pulled back into stricter regulations as case numbers change. I am neighbors with several health care professionals, (well, as close as you can be with 10 or more acres between each home) who work at various hospitals--each of a different political alignment, and they ALL say they are pleased our governor took and has taken this so seriously, as their facilities are faring much better than those in other states.
I think that the anti-mask, anti-science rhetoric is willfully ignorant, and perpetuated by malcontents who really only want to incite their own misery in others. Do I have asthma? Yes. Do I wear a mask when I am out and about in public? Yes. Does it suck? Yes. Do I wear it nonetheless? You betcha'!

    1. Meg B.,
This should not be a decision based on politics. The mask in our state was only mandated a few weeks ago. Thank goodness. Thank you for your response. I have asthma, am 73, and have diabetes.
