I am Ecstatic! Another Clue

Last night, we went to bed at 1 am. Well, I went to bed and he turned off tv and his light. I got up at 11:48 am. This much sleep is unheard of for me unless I am ill or have not slept in several nights.

The difference? I slept with Rod Stewart! Yes, I did!

I cannot sleep with any noise going on. No music, no TV, nothing, no talking of others. However, I am very respectful of other people sleeping and will be silent for another who is sleeping.

I  listened to the new cd I ordered on my new boombox I order a few weeks ago--Rod Stewart "It Had to Be You" The Great American Songbook 2002.

That particular cd is designated No.1. I had a copy of No. 2 that a guy copied for me. I never got No.3. I tried sleeping to No.2, but it does not work--too many horns. Maybe I will get No. 2 someday. Maybe Santa will bring it to me...lol.

The doctor refuses to give me valium and the stuff she tries to give me will make me dizzy so I will fall down on the way to the bathroom at night. When I went to the bathroom last night, I just pressed the button when I got back in bed and fell asleep before the third song started.

So, it was money well-spent. Now, I can think this morning. By the way, valium does not make me fuzzy-headed like other sleep meds. I took my first valium when I was 21 and not again for a few months. Then, not for a few years. The ONLY thing I used them for was to go to sleep. And, my doctor believed me how little I used valium. So, there. And, I have six valium left from a presciption in 2014.

If you have a criticism, bring it on. Just don't expect me to publish it...lol. Or, care.

Maybe I am just happy that and relaxed that Biden is president.

  1. I used to have the best pain specialist and his nurse practitioner was kind and wonderful just as he was. All of a sudden I discovered my pain management doctor had retired and his nurse practitioner had gone to a different doctor's office too many miles away. I asked if I could get a partial refill on the medicine I was prescribed by my past doctor from the doctor or nurse practitioner who work there now until I could get an appointment to come in. Hells Bells! You would have thought I was asking to buy their children. The person I spoke to on the phone was so rude, and basically read me the riot act, and finished off by saying I had been a noncompliant patient, because I had not come in every three months to be checked while taking that medicine. I started to tell the beeatch that the nurse practitioner had told me I only needed to come in once a year unless I was having problems with my neck and needed steroid injections.. (I usually ended up there more than once a year with neck and shoulder pain from pinched nerves stemming from degenerative disc disease anyway.) That person on the phone was so rude to me, I won't go to the new doctor there, but will need to get my records from them. That should be interesting. It seemed to me that that new doctor is going to be a money grabber.

Anyway, I asked my Primary care doctor about the medicine, and if he could prescribe it for me. He said "Yes, that shouldn't be a problem." The thing is, I will still need to find a pain management doctor who does the steroid trigger point injections for days when I cant move either my neck, or sometimes my shoulder and upper arm. It's always something isn't it. I have now had two wonderful doctors who I had been going to for years, retire this year. I had the same asthma doctor since I was 21 years old and I am 66 now that he has retired. My Primary care doctor inherited my Asthma Doctor's job, too, now. It's always something with doctors and prescriptions, isn't it.

    1. I have been sent to a pain doctor three times and three different doctors. Every time I called, I was treated as though I was asking for heavy drugs. Oh, the reason I called was to get the initial appointment. The receptionists were so rude and accusatory. I have only had one appointment with a pain doctor, and it ended badly. The med he gave me made me pass out! I decided to endure pain. It is difficult to endure. I think in forty years I have only had to have a cortisone injection four times, each time in a different joint. The spine doctor want to put an injection in my lower spine, but NO. I hate it when good doctors retire!

  3. I love Rod Stewart but I've only heard some of those songs (I call them torch songs) on television. He is a great, soulful singer and also good looking imho.

    1. I was familiar with all the songs on all three songbook, but that is probably because we are different ages (think I am older) and I am in the US. I loved him as a rocker, too. He has such a great voice.

    1. SAM,
I, too, am glad I can sleep. The contest is simple. Guess what I am preparing for a charitable contribution.
