The ottomans above are not like mine. They are part of what shows up in ads once I had search for "ottoman."
A very generous person offered to send me an ottoman from Target. All I had to do was choose one. I did. The one I wanted was cream because the garnet one was out of stock. I mentioned I would cover it with a throw since is was white. She sent me a garnet throw, too, and warranty on the ottoman.
If you want to see more of these fantastical ottomans, CLICK HERE. Since they are around $800, they are out of my league. Of course, if I had the money, I would not buy them. I might copy the top one.
These are from Mackenzie Child's.
My ottoman:
She also sent a garnet throw and it is beautiful. This was definitely a wise choice, I think. I am using it and it is perfect!Have you ever noticed if you do a search for an item that your home page is full of ads for that item?
I love your ottoman! Gorgeous cream color!
ReplyDeleteCindy,
DeleteThanks. I am not a cream person, especially when my feet will be on it, but it is protected. Most importantly, it is saving my legs and feet.
I’m sure you’ll enjoy that pretty ottoman and throw. And how generous that person was to do that for you ❤️
ReplyDeleteRhonda,
DeleteI have my feet up right now! I thought it was thoughtful and generous. I was stunned and happy.
I LOVE the fantastical ones, though $800 is a pretty penny even for something beautiful.
ReplyDeleteA cream ottoman with garnet throw sounds good, just the ticket
kylie,
DeleteVery pretty ones, right. I can make it for a lot less.
Ooops, I accidentally posted the reply. It is just the ticket for my feet and style.
DeleteThere are some very generous people out there.
ReplyDeleteJoyful,
DeleteYes, there are!
Wow those are beautiful, I wouldn't be able to use it.
ReplyDeleteKim,
DeleteThe house would have to be a museum to have one of the first two ottomans. You did see the more reasonable cream one I got?
Not only if I search for something, but if hubby and I TALK about it, I start getting ads for it.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful ottoman! I have a chair that I think is called a chair-and-a-half that has a matching ottoman. It has storage inside and I love that.
There's a setting tab on e-mails, social media etc. that you can check and clear cookies" and previous searches. How generous of your gift giver.
ReplyDeleteSAM,
DeleteThanks. So, that would stop the ads for things I search for? I was totally shocked and am grateful.
Alice,
ReplyDeleteIf my computer can hear me, I may store it in a closet if I am not using it. Scary!
I always thought a chair and a half would be great to have. I thought about an ottoman with storage, but since I need to scoot an ottoman aside, I was afraid it might be too heavy once I started using it. But, storage is a good idea.
It's on rollers! No problem moving it at all.
DeleteRollers would be necessary for me. Sounds practical.
DeleteQuite like your new cream colored ottoman. Totally LOVE the top fancy one. Yes, impractical, but I still love it.
ReplyDeleteAnne,
DeleteThe top one really intrigues me and is impractical.
that is really lovely! the second one looks like a scottish hat.
ReplyDeleteJan,
DeleteLOL...It does, doesn't it?
try DuckDuckgo for your searches; less folks follow you about that way.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet person to do something so nice. I love when we see the beautiful good side of people.
ReplyDeleteThe other day I got freaked out because I mentioned something while talking to my son when he was here and then on my phone and computer ads kept popping up for that. It really scares me sometimes. We have no privacy. And I don't have one of those Alexa things or anything like that just a phone and computer. We were talking about him watching an upcoming football game one day and the next day I started getting notifications about NFL games on my phone!
Take care and enjoy your throw and ottoman. What a wonderful gift.
Crystal,I was touched with the gift of ottoman and throw. My feet are up now as I sit and type.
DeleteI am freaked out by all this lack of privacy. I think that Tommy and I will discuss something and see if my computer hears me.
