It Is Coming Soon. You Know it Is!

Yes, Halloween will be here soon. This cute spider cape/poncho comes from a site called Grandin Road. I love the pumpkin cape, too. I could make either for a lot less! There is a big spider on the left chest.

Can you believe this showed up so early? And, I have not googled anything about Halloween! There are so many cute things on this site.

What is the next holiday you will plan?

By the way, we had the door open ready to leave the house about 1pm and a hummingbird showed up. We later had visitors all during the afternoon and until about 8 pm, when I closed the door. So, I guess we are good.

I would wear this poncho. Would you?

  1. Oh yes, I would wear the poncho too. The students at school would get a kick out of it.

It would be so cute at school. And, you would have your Halloween costume decided.

  3. Oh please don't mention Hallowe'en just yet. This is the first week in MONTHS that we haven't had rain. We're only just now getting into spring temperatures. And yeah, I'd wear that poncho - but only on Hallowe'en!

    1. Treaders,
LOL...It is no excuse, but it came to my email. Otherwise, I would not have seen. So, I am weak. It seems that it will rain all of July here. I am sick of rain. We have had summer temperatures for a month or more. I like the heat. We both have time to make that poncho since Halloween is so far away. I certainly won't pay for it.

  4. I would definitely wear this poncho. My husband and I were married on Halloween so we look forward to it every year. We have moved to a smaller town and enjoy trying to decorate our yard. We don't go crazy but I try to come up with something different every year. Ranee (MN)

    1. Rae,
How interesting that you married on Halloween. Now that I am older, I like to decorate a bit for Halloween. I suppose I was too busy decorating kids and working before now.

  5. I would probably wear the poncho! Two years ago for Halloween my office had a door decorating contest. I used a $1 plastic table covering from the dollar tree that was purple. I drew on it with a wide black marker to make the spider web, and taped black, purple, and green spiders to it.

The next 'holiday' that I am planning for is Labor Day. We always (except last year of course) have a huge get together at our house. Pre- 'rona, we had 80+ people here. I don't expect that many this year.

    1. Alice,
That was a great door decoration! I will have to remember that. It sounds like you have great holidays! Hopefully, many will attend this year.

    1. Anne,
Halloween would never have crossed my mind if I had not gotten the email. These advertisers are smart. It will have to get cool before Halloween is on my horizon.

Halloween Decorations

Saturday night, we started decorating for Halloween. I found the ghosts to hang from the dogwood tree. They were wadded and wrinkled, so th...
