Not Much Monday

The weather is beautiful, 77F yesterday and 76F today! I cannot believe it is so warm in late December.  There was not much sunshine either day, but also no rain. Yes, I know that is not very interesting, but it thrills me. It is supposed to be in the seventies the rest of the week.

The state of the atmosphere did not thrill me enough to bake that blankety-blank turkey. Tommy said it was nice and soft, but I was not inspired to get acquainted with the carcass. So, tomorrow, I promise I will.

I feel so terrible, under the weather. Tommy suggested getting something to eat and asked what I wanted. I said either KFC or a Whopper. He chose KFC. AND, they forgot to give him a biscuit! Can you imagine? He saves it for dessert later.

  1. KFC or a Whopper are both good. I love the Cole slaw from KFC. It’s so good and refreshing.

    1. Belinda,
The first thing the guy taking our order said was,
We are out of coleslaw! And, I wanted that!

  2. I'm sure jealous of your weather!!! it's currently 17 degrees outside and we got a few inches of snow last night in a spectacular snow squall that hit - never seen one like it but we were getting emergency alerts about it all afternoon on our phones & TV. I ran to the grocery store to stock up on essentials & by time I came out, it was almost a white-out! SO... I'd kill for some nice 70 degree weather right about now!
Sorry you aren't feeling well, I sure hope you feel better soon!
I'd be quite upset about not getting a biscuit too, that's practically the best part about KFC!

    1. Bri,
I would like a good snow, then have it go away in 24 hours or less. Where do you live? You are correct, biscuit is the best! We eat them for dessert.

    2. I live in Salt Lake City, Utah! Have you ever been here? It's absolutely beautiful here. There's a lot of misconceptions about Utah (no I am not a Mormon or a polygamist either hahaha!) but I truly love it here, especially our mountains they are spectacular to look at and I can be up the canyon picnicking surrounded by the most beautiful forest and rocky mountains in about 15 minutes from my front door. Unfortunately for me though, I hate the snow - and we usually get quite a bit! I will tolerate the snow as long as I don't have to go anywhere or drive in it & can just admire the prettiness from inside my warm home... but that rarely works out that way ;)

    3. Okay,
It would be okay if you were a Mormon, and I realize not all are polygamist. It does sound pretty there. I would NOT want to drive in the snow, either. It does sound very picturesque where you live. Thanks.

  3. It is a little unsettling when you are getting dressed to go out on the 27th and the only thing in the closet that is cool enough to wear is some jeans and a short sleeve tee shirt, worn with flip flops.

    1. Anne,
That is certain! I started digging around looking for something a bit cooler to wear. Those summer clothes never were put away, thankfully.
