Monday night, I slept an hour or two and had fitful sleep until 8 am when I got up. I have not felt at all perky all day. I slept from 11:30 until 1:30 and did not feel one bit better for having slept.
We had chicken in the refrigerator, I sliced squash in large chunks and chunked an onion. I put it in the cooking bag with a Tbsp oil and 1/4 cup water. It was delicious. Tommy also had cabbage with his meal.
I did not season this bag of food. Tommy put salt and pepper on his. I had less than a pat of butter on mine and most of it was melted and left on the plate.
This guy has eaten cabbage every day for two weeks! He has not complained once. He likes the Savoy cabbage. He commented that if he ate anymore cabbage, he was going to sh** cole slaw. He is never crude! So, this was funny. I laughed so hard.
Tomorrow, I must put on shelves all these cans of food I have bought in the last two weeks. I sit in my chair and date tops and fronts of cans. I have little hope I will feel like it. I will just do it.
We had horrendous rain and storms last night and we are in for a stormy day tomorrow. We finished Tuesday sunny and dry. Are you having storms with this system?
The storms here started about 5 in the morning and were pretty much gone by noon. Thankfully the night was gorgeous since we had an event to go to. Fingers crossed that tomorrow will be less intense than predicted.
ReplyDeleteAnne,
DeleteI heard the storms way in the distance about 4 or 4:30, but I went to sleep. Tommy heard them in the very early morning. I was in bed for a nap before noon. Tomorrow, they start after noon. At least that was the last word. I, too, hope they are less than predicted. The pavement was dry when we went out in the afternoon and the sun was shining.
We have been having pea soup fog the last couple days. Rain comes through daily but we barely get a tenth of an inch. A friend of ours lives in Huntsville AL. He said they have been getting some wind and rain but the "bad" stuff has been missing them
ReplyDeleteChef,
DeleteUgh! At least it is not raining so it floods. With all the wind and rain and thunderstorms, no tornadoes have killed anyone. Hopefully, tomorrow's storms will miss us.
Bwahahaha! Tommy is a riot. I'll bet with all that cabbage he's also tooting Chanel #5! LOL!
ReplyDeleteMaybe he's getting sassy because you are corrupting him, Linda. He was just a shy, delicate flower until you came along. ;^) ;^) ;^)
I don't know whose weather system it is, but it's raining now & we are going to have rain for the next several days. But that's what Spring is all about, so I don't mind.
The plumber is coming today to fix BOTH sink drains in my kid's bathroom. Neither of them can explain how their sink drains got stuck in the "closed" position. SMH. I thought they'd have a little more sense at 22 & 25, but I guess not.
Oh, in case anyone is wondering what 22 & 25 year olds are doing in my home, one is completing his undergrad, the other is getting her doctorate. And neither has plans to live in the basement. LOL!!
Sue,
DeleteSome days, I ask him what he says since he is known to mumble. He will say he did not say anything and I argue and said I heard him say something. He then has to explain he was not talking with his mouth. I never catch on, so he explains it was his butt.
Yesterday and today are our rainy days this week. And, today still is predicted to be dangerous. Hope not.
That is strange about the sinks. What could they have poured down the drain...?
I think people expect kids to move out too soon, long before they can take care of themselves. And, going to school is hard work if a person is expected to fully support herself or himself. Good for you.
They didn't pour anything down the drain. They each closed them and they stuck and wouldn't open. I even tried to pry them up with a knife tip and it didn't work.
DeleteThe plumber said he had a very hard time getting them to open and said they had wonky drain mechanisms that locked themselves closed. He reconfigured them so they wouldn't do that again. So, not the kid's fault. I did apologize for getting a bit huffy about it...
Sue,
DeleteWell, that is weird!
Yes, I have never heard of that happening before, ever. It was a little metal part that worked its way loose and wedged into a position that prevented the drain from opening back up. And darned if it didn't happen to both sinks within days of each other! Those sinks have been in place for a couple of years, so WHY NOW?!?!?!?
DeleteI tell you, if it's weird and a one-off, it's sure to happen in my house!
Sue,
DeleteThat is strange. Did the plumber indicate that this had happened before or was this a first?
Storms coming through here again today as well. I'll be glad when this round is over!
ReplyDeleteLana,
DeleteIt seems our storms will be less than first expected, but still can be scary. It seems this happens once a week!
Tell Tommy I am shocked... shocked I tell you.
ReplyDeleteKim,
DeleteHe laughed and I laughed long and loud. He does not laugh much.
