About 9 pm Saturday night, I started getting very ill, very quickly. This was not gradual, but so sudden it was sort of frightening. During Saturday night I had chills all night long it seemed. My temperature rose 5 degrees! All day Sunday, I was lethargic, only moving from my chair to go to the bathroom and for a short nap and two rests when sitting was too much.
Tommy said he could not hear me, that I was very weak. I felt just as week. My whole body hurt--bones, joints, muscles, even my hair. He brought me everything I drank and maybe what I ate. I have no memory of eating anything, but I suppose I did. I do know dinner was just a bunch of stuff that did not make a meal and was not eaten at the same time.
Monday, I awoke feeling great! I did not ask Tommy for one thing all day...lol. I don't remember where we went, but I was fine. Going out tired me out.
Today, Tuesday, I am feeling droopy but not really ill. Maybe whatever it is is coming back. Since Saturday, I have been concentrating on allergy meds for everything, asthma inhalers, pills, ear and sinus meds. All of this is otc except for the inhalers. All my problems are upper respiratory related.
I wear my mask to go outdoors when I think of it! These beautiful days are deadly for me. When my older daughter was in elementary school, she had the same reaction.
Monday, I accomplished lots but did not overwork. Mainly, as I said, I did for myself instead of asking Tommy for everything I needed. Today, I have done for myself, too. I think I may have commented on some blogs, but not many, if any.
I don't understand how I could become so ill so quickly and recover so quickly! Right now, almost midnight, I do not feel well, but it could be I did not sleep much Monday night, then only took an hour nap so I could watch Legally Blonde since I had never seen it and wanted to for a long time.
This has not been proofed at all, so good luck reading it. I may have spelled everything correctly and punctuated correctly. Don't know.
Sorry you were feeling so bad. Just let us know. just post the word sick or ill and we will not worry. You have wondered before where we were, no comments, well we feel the same when you don't post. Get some rest, plenty of fluids and good food. The winter is upon us and it is important to take care if yourselves. Have you and Tommy gone to get your flu and booster Covid shots?
ReplyDeleteTexas,
DeleteI need to be well before taking the second booster in order for it to be effective. So, it is in the works.
Weird how that hit you so fast, and left as quickly. Do you have Covid home tests there?
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a good day today.
Cheryl,
DeleteVery weird. It was scary. Yes, had tests. Thanks.
SO glad to know you're okay, so sorry to hear you've been so sick! No posts for several days was worrisome. Don't worry about proofreading--that's not what matters. Just hearing from you is wonderful--thank you!
ReplyDeleteSue,
DeleteI was just too ill. I was worried, too. But, I was going to call a doctor on Monday and just got better and had things to do and became tired. Tjhanks.
Hope you feel better but if it happens again go to urgent care or the ER.
ReplyDeleteChef,
DeleteThanks.
Take your time feeling better. get all of the rest that you can. I hope you will be feeling better as today goes on. Be really careful not to take too many Tylenols in a 24 hour period of time. Drink lots of fluid, such high fevers can really dehydrate you. We'll be thinking of you.
ReplyDeletesusie,
DeleteThis morning, I am once again feeling better after a low Tuesday evening. I don't have any Tylenol in the house. I am surprised how much water I had had! Thanks.
Oh my goodness, you have had a rotten time of it haven't you!!! I hope with rest you'll be feeling better sooner rather than later!
ReplyDeleteTreaders,
DeleteVery rotten! I am resting and trying to do things, too. When November is here, I will be okay.
Hopefully it was just a 24 hour thing. Glad you're feeling better.
