This is how the two blackberries that have ripened look now. It is so sad. The article that speaks of this, says that all the things in nature that any plant I want to grow needs can cause this affliction.
So, what do I do?
It has been a hard three days. I will go into that on Sunday.
Have you ever experienced this disorder?
eat them... it won't harm you. It's sometimes called by how the plants are getting water. I get them when we don't get enough rain
ReplyDeleteThese blackberries are hard and knotty. I decided to be brave and bit into one of the good drupes. It was so bitter. I won't be eating these.
DeleteI have seen it many times on fruit on the vine. Usually out in the wild.
ReplyDeleteCheryl,
DeleteWell, I have not been in the wild for decades. Still, I have never seen this.
That is so odd. I’ve not seen that before.
ReplyDeleteBelinda,
DeleteNor have I.
A disappointment. Blackberries ought to be easy to find, yes?
ReplyDeleteUrspo,
ReplyDeleteI was so disappointed! In the grocery store in season, at farmer's markets in season, frozen year round. The season is short. Fresh, not shipped is best.
